Issue 181 of 4WD Action had some of my shots included with a story about a trip for photography enthusiasts that I was on, and now we've been asked to submit another story and photos by Monday for issue 187, of the trip we all did last week. If any of my shots get picked from those being submitted by all the other photography enthusiasts that were on this trip, then I'll be published again. Only a 4wd mag, so it's not like I got into National Geographic or something, but I'm pretty stoked about it anyway. Especially as we're being paid for them again. Splitting the payment between all the other photographers, but hey, money is money.

it is very encouraging and great to hear when some one gets some meaningful recognition for what they love doing in this photography insanity.

LOL Fastwrx. It's a bit like claiming that Facebook have published my pics (they have many times), but until National Geographic publish my stuff I'll have to get my boasts wherever I can ;)
It is THE premier 4wd magazine in the country I might add (I suspect by the username that you might just be aware of this ;) )

I've heard a rumour that that particular magazine only employs the best freelance photo-journos in the industry :)

Mind you, a saying about counting chickens before they've hatched comes to mind. Everyone from the trip submitted photos, there's still a possibility they won't choose any of my ones. There's only so much room for photos in an article that's only a couple of pages long.

Great to hear Ezookiel. :th3: Well done.
As along time subscriber to 4WD Action I spied your name in Issue 181. Suspected there couldn't be more than one Ezookiel wielding a 60D. Looking forward to #187. These gigs are a great way to have your trip pay for itself!

With some superb photography talent on board, 4wd Action is the premier 4wd mag in the country .......and will still be a close second after August .....when Carlisle Roger's new mag appears on the shelves....Shhh!:D:D:D:D

I wouldn't be too worried about 'only a 4wd magazine' , they have a readership of about 7 times that of a popular australian photography magazine. :D

It will be issue 186, which is only a couple of issues away, and one of my shots forms a part of the cover of the story (not magazine cover, the article cover)

Good one Ez.

Or that of a fair fax newspaper
mmmm I read a "fair fax" paper daily. 'spose I have that option, which many don't.
Our local paper is also published by them. It calls itself The Mudgee Guardian, though locally it's known as the mudguard. :D
