Iv'e been looking at Go Pros for sometime... What caused the blur on the right?

Not sure - sun flare ?? no rain at all..

How bizarre is the blur lol.............at times it looks like a smiley face :confused013

did you have the waterproof case on it? that's most likely what's causing the blur maybe condensation is appearing on the inside.

I use the back door with the holes in it to reduce the condensation effect or even better take the camera out of the case.The lens works better and you get a lot less lens flare,especially when it is cloudy and bright.Its hard to mount the bare camera but I use a piece of aluminium angle and rubber bands to secure the camera, or, I use a big clamp that they use on a clipboard etc with rubber in the jaws to protect the camera.Theclamp has a hole that the tripod screw goes through then you just use a 1/4 inch nut.
