Hard to tell without seeing some output from the lens. It may be a good buy or it may be a "pup" if it was a "bad copy". How it looks on the outside is irrelevant to how it performs on your camera, so let us know how it goes.

Any deal is only good, if you get good use out of the product. No matter what you pay, is not worth it, if you don't use it.

yes a Sigma 150-500 for $700 is a good deal..as long as it works as it should

I just bought a new one from my local Camera House store for $1099, (which comes with 2 years warranty) so you saved nearly $400 .

I have this lens and one bit of advice I can give you, it loves light. No light, no fun. Oh and start doing weights if you gonna handheld for any amount of time.
