    Might I suggest that before you go putting students on a stand, make sure of a few things....
    - Insurance, insurance, insurance, insurance, insurance, insurance.... and in case one of the kids falls off - insurance!
    - Know the load rating of the stand and get one that far exceeds whatever weight you expect to place on each level.
    - Make sure you have someone put it together who knows what they're doing.

    If it were me, I'd be hiring a scaffolding company to erect a structure for you... transfer the risk.
