I am traveling with camera gear lens included in the cabin baggage and noticed that when the bag went through the scanner there were yellow patches where the lens and the camera was there can anyone tell me why does it appear yellow o am worried that it maybe moisture.

Im pretty sure its not moisture it could be heat or oil residue, especially in parts where you tend to touch a lot

I always like looking at my kit on the screen when it goes through the machine.
No idea about the yellow you can always ask the officer what yellow is

    Yellow sometimes indicates organic material.
It could be the jelly lubricant.
