    Perth AP Meet-Up

Well I think it went well today, and was definitely a sucess. We had 8 people turn up, and of course the girls got there rather late . We got some good shots of the Osprey, and everyone had something to say to another.

It was nice to meet up with all the locals and our special guest Harves. I know Harves will definitely be uploading that photo of the pink water bottle.... Here is some photos of the group I managed to snap up of.

    "look it's up there!"

"why does he have a Nikon?"

Wayne was very busy getting that shot today, and might have some very nice shots of the Osprey with a fish in her talon.

    Ashey spotting a spoonbill.

Most of the group. Was going for that artisitic approach

Plenty of candid shots there Gregg. It's great to see we ended up with a good size group and can now put some names to faces [or vice versa]..lol

    An honest C+C please!

Ill blame my daughters for the pink water bottle. They left it in the car and it was better than going thirsty. Did try to loose it but people kept on returning it. Did manage to leave bits of gear from one end of the walk to the other.(hat, water bottle and Momopod.)
    Great day and thx.
    Regards.

Not quite sure where to place this comment...there are a number of threads to do with the Perth meet-up...

As a newbie I would have been quite keen to join the group for this outing, however I had a prior committment so couldn't attend this one. Are there many members in the Perth region and do you meet up often??? I too have a Canon (50D with 18-200m lens) - not sure it would have been much good for the ofsprey photos, but would be good to meet others!

Maybe we should have a macro session this time round? The longest lens I've got is a 70-300 VR, however I love macro work even though I'm still learning about it

Nice shots. Lots of big white lens there! Interesting to see what people wear. I used to wear a white cricket-style hat until I lost it...but I read that birds are particularly averse to white, or see it better or something, so when I get a new hat it will be dark blue (only other colour).
