    Took a while but it's finally been updated.

    Hell of a!

    Yeah, typical Nikon pricing structure.

    People have been howiling for years for this lens to be updated with the inclusion of recent technological goodness!.... and then when Nikon finally do it, they price it out of the reach of most people.

    I suppose once the price conscientious types get their fill and the sales figures levels off a bit, prices should come down to more reasonable levels.

    Remember that the 70-200/2.8 VRII came in initially at this price point, and now it sits closer to the $2200 mark from most retailers.


    $2000-2200 would be a decent price level for this lens, of course lower would be better.
