Nothing coming up on my Kaspersky internet security, it might be a false positive by AVG?

Nothing here either. it could be the virus is on your computer, not the protog site William.

    Protog is a bona-fide business.
Like Rick has said William, perhaps your pc has been infected.

    Hi Guys

We have our Tech guy doing a check to see if the site or a particular page has been hacked. In the meantime, if you have concerns with using the site, feel free to call and order, or to ask any questions.

    Cheers

I did before, and did not get the error. I agree that if two of you got it, something was going on, but it wasn't triggering all of us to get the report.

    Glad it is OK now

I would like to add that I only got the AVG message by clicking on the tripod menu button on the start/opening page. I didn't get as far as William, to an indivual item.

It may only be an AVG type issue. But we at least know that AVG is lurking in the background.

9:31pm.... Just went to the site again, and the problem has been fixed. Thanks ProTog.

I have Avast (free). Nothing for this page, but it does occasionally give false positives.

I had a friends website start throwing up the same message a couple of weeks ago, he had quite a few calls about it but they were unable to trace any cause, it is all ok now so it looks like a rere false positive from AVG.
    Cheers
    Keith.

H All, our tech guy has checked the photo tripod and video tripod pages and we cannot find any iframe, malware or compromised file. We have been trading online for 7 years and never been hacked, and hope to keep it that way. Thanks for the heads up though!

William, Brian is our most popular 3 Legged Thing tripod model, worth checking out!

Just FYI , it's highly unlikely that a specific section of a specific sight would get hacked, however ads that show up on specific sections can at times contain viruses, or give false positives to Virus detection software.

As these ads are based on personal browsing history and patterns this can explain why one person gets a different ad then another (we all have different interests and browse different pages - for instance I get a high rotation of Ambulance Victoria, Remote control helicopter and office chair ads)
