I've never really tested it as such but having said that have had very little noise in any of my shots.
I have never had to use the noise reduction thingy in Lightroom , even when I've taken indoor shots with out using the flash.
Mind you as my only other experience is point and shoot I don't have anything to compare too.

Haven't got one yet, but one of the reasons the K-x is in my sights as my first DSLR is because of the low light performance.
