I'm Getting A Tamron 90mm Macro!
After doing lots of reading on this forum I decided the Tamron 90mm Macro was the way to go for me. Searched first on Ebay and found several Hong Kong sellers with good prices ($429 + free postage) but only Canon and Nikon mounts. So I messaged three stores (DigitalRev, Citiwide, Sighterz) re a Pentax mount. All came back saying Pentax wasn't available right now. There was one store in Australia selling it for $550 + postage. Then I found a listing from someone in Queensland selling a brand new never used Pentax version. I bid and got it for $432 + $20 postage. You beauty! I'm now anxiously waiting for it to arrive so I can start to try and emulate some of the fantastic macro shots shown on this forum taken with this lens.

Wow, $432 was a good price. I just paid $550 delivered for mine (from Hong Kong). Well scored, have fun using it.

G'day John
My lens finally arrived yesterday and I'm rapt. I have just started a thread asking for advice from other users about how to get the most from this lens. Might be helpful for you too if I get some replies.

Hey Doug, I bet you are rapt.
I'll keep my eye on your new thread, cause I'm also keen to learn how to get the best from the lens.
I only got to play with mine for two days before I had to fly back out for work. I'm not going to get my hands back on it now until next Friday... I'll just have to look at everyone elses piccy's on the forum till then.

Hi Cupic
Yes it is the Di. Unfortunately I have commitments this weekend so haven't had a chance to try out the lens properly other than to ascertain that it all functions correctly. I will get in to it this week hopefully and post some results.

The Tammy 90 is a great macro lens but don't forget that it can be awesome for portraits as well.

K20D with Tamron Adaptall 90mm f2.5
I have this lens and I am exceptionly pleased with it as I only paid $50 for it as well, so you will be pleased with the Di version as well.
I am yet to try it for portraits, but I will do that today, weather permitting.
Regards,
Gordon.
