Question for Pentax K7 users

have any K7 users tried the "catch in focus" node, page 128 in the manual?
Thinking of giving it a go with the bigma.
is it as simple as the manual suggests,or are there tricky bits?
hints sought, cheers

I think I have answered some of my own questions

Ok, I decided to experiment using the bigma (only lens i have with manual focus switch on it).
metering and focus ON THE CAMERA need to be on auto.
No live view.
if camera set to these settings the shutter sets when pressed.
have not tried multiple exposures or bulb settngs, yet.

I played with it a few months ago. It works, but is not normally what I need.

Not normally what i need either Kym (most of the time), just thinking how i can place the camera closer to bird roosting spots for larger images while not scareing the birds off. this could be a possible option without having to use a high focal length.
