As long as you remember they do not match the color temperature of a studio flash...

Anyway, as many others, I've tried using these lamps too. They generate a lot of heat, the color temperature is not stable and the light it creates is not even, some parts get more light than others, they sure take a lot of energy and last but not least you'll still end up with long exposure times. These things are very good for what they're meant for, but not for photographic use.
