Where to find PP person?

I really don't know where to post this.

I'm trying to find someone who has the current Adobe Photoshop who can do some image colorisation for me.
It seems there's a great tool to do so now so it doesn't take the time like it used to.
(Well, not for normal photos anyway, as opposed to completely accurate / artistic)

Photos are public domain B&W images dated to the 1940s and earlier.

I don't want to really get a subscription (I hate adobe's model and unsubscribing has always proven a lot more difficult than subscribing) but if economically its much cheaper then I'll have to.

In any event I am wondering where I could find someone to do some images for me at an affordable price.

(NOT free, I'm not one of those social media 'do it for exposure' miscreants.)
Just hoping for something affordably priced as it's a hobby website not a business.

If anyone's keen (or knows somebody) PM me and let me know your rate, I won't bargain I'll just say yes or no, I don't want to waste anyone's time.

Tands. There may be no need to seek a "PP person"

On that link you included, there are other videos that lead you to other methods of
[wait till I cough!] "colorizing". Some use other methods in Photoshop, and 1 or 2 use
GIMP.

If you open this one on that page, you will get this other one about using a GIMP method

Thanks. I'd be keen to see what the photoshop AI comes up with for colours though - there aren't any colour pictures of the ship) thats the type of photos I want to colourise) so the Gimp method seems 'not ideal'. Also the new AI thig in photoshop seems to make the whole process a LOT quicker.

Actually, you're right about the process he uses in GIMP.
After that, I'd just stick to the B/W version

Anyway, being mildly disposed to some investigation, I came across these two
links that contain a host of such colourisers. They're not all (if any) free, except
for an on-line 1 or 2 in the 2nd link.

Purely as an aside now, I tried (after a heap of reading about various ones) these two online
AI Colourisers:

Same image uploaded, with Two different but acceptable renditions. Perhaps this approach is
only good for the odd (angry) shot. It's fast enough (with a good connection) but there are size
limits.

PS: And who knows how it compares to Photoshop

Thanks for this post. I have since looked up the "Colorizing" filter on Photoshop (it is one of the Neural filters) and it is just amazing. Here is my parent's original wedding photo followed by the "colorized" image. My 95 year old mother loves it. I had to adjust the eyes because they came out hazel rather than blue. A couple of other photos were a bit difficult because of ageing stains on the prints. Happy to look at colorizing for you.
