Ta Guys.
Gazza. I tried drag-and-drop. THAT "worked", but the files went nowhere and certainly not onto the disc
Will look at that option, though.
CC, Image editing OK.
So outta curiosity I thought I'd give it a try ...
Selected (Highlighted) the files I wanted, clicked Share → Burn to Disc (I had an old CD in the drive...don't think that would make any difference?) and off it went...there were a few options along the way....now I have a CD full of useless Smiley gif's Might give it to the grand-kids for their birthday....
Tar again. Really!! And all the hoo-haa I read about there not being an option!!??
Will give this a go necks time. I gathered that it more more "authoring" (excuse atrocious Am spelling) it lacked.
?? knows??

Oh, PS: At some stage I got a burn to disc option (right-click I fink) but 0-thing happened.
Wonder if it could be a prob with the external burner???

PPS: I did it using the internal burner on the desktop (that runs XP).
More concerning with windows 10 is the default setting to essentially torrent updates from all users, particularly if you have limited bandwidth or on a mobile connection.
We had this "not so minor" issue with all our consultants blowing data caps on their 4G wifi modems and not understanding why they were leaking data. Microsoft has turned on a setting by default which uses your machine to torrent updates to other machines in the world and they turned it on by default. From what I understand, it's switched off for mobile connections but most Wifi 4G modems don't register as mobile devices. While I appreciate that this optimises the rollout of updates, why Microsoft chose to switch this on by default is a mystery. I have no doubt that many people are going to be blowing through data without realising it. You can find the setting in Windows Updates - Advanced Options - Choose How updates are delivered. I suggest you switch it off if you have limited bandwidth or use a wifi 4G modem regularly.
Absolutely stupefactory!
It - and a swathe of ovver stuff - just went OFF-FF!
Ta for that MM.
Something I just found out - the hard way...
If you are running Asus Life Frame, a capture program for any ASUS product with a webcam, you will have to
run it in Win 8 Compatibility Mode in Win 10. (Or, presumably, Win 7 if you upgraded from that.)
Am(glad to have fixed it).

Windows 10 has convinced me to upgrade my Macbook Air to a Macbook Pro 15 and dump my Surface Pro 3.
MM. Is that , or ?
Windows 10 was a reminder of why I left Windows originally. 10 looked nice but it's still the same old MS. Lack of quality control on a broad scale. If MS can't get it right on their own hardware (we use SP3's), the chances of getting it right on someone else's hardware is pretty low. Using MS reminds me of getting together with an ex-girlfriend who has had plastic surgery and looks prettier, but when you spend some time with them, you realise it's still the same old psychotic ex and there was a good reason you left them.
OK, I'll take that as a "No", then
Yep, after the 100 million have ironed out the problems, I might give it another go.
Haven't read all this thread... but wanted to say...
Took me 2 days to switch off all the "helpful" invasion of privacy options and get the system to a state where I could use it comfortably online or near other networks and equipment.
In days to follow... found a bunch of other issues that needed the settings adjusted.
And now that it is running streamlined and not communicating to anyone without my consent... running fine.
Still wouldn't go back to Apple.
When it comes to invading privacy... win10 is still the apprentice. (based on when I was running MacOS 10... not up to date with their latest)

Well, as a Windows user and never having used a Mac (other than when using someone else's computer), Windows 10 is definitely the best operating system so far, amidst its problems, as I enjoy the UI a little more, the functionality, etc.
Of course, there will be those who will say Windows 7 is better, I feel that the reasons for such are mainly based on peformance - Windows 10 isn't too bad.
Of course, they'll also say that it's just a matter of getting used to the Mac interface - I don't agree. But that's just me

Getting used to OSX (or any OS) takes at least a couple of weeks because you still work in the context of how you understand the previous way of working.
For example, in Windows, if you want to send a file to someone you right click and select File - Send to. It frustrated me that OSX didn't have this functionality until someone told me I could just drag the file to the Mail or Outlook icon on the dock and it would open an email with the file attached. Same functionality, different way of doing it but because you are thinking of how Windows works while using OSX, you think OSX is worse. You have to unlearn that and it takes a couple of weeks to understand that the Windows way isn't necessarily a better way, it's just a different way.
