    This could be interesting !!

Would love to hear/read your thoughts on your ideal single set up, let me explain.
The idea here is to offer up the One lens and One body you could live with, if you where given only one choice.
The lens and bodies can be either one you'd love but say cant afford - film - digital - old - new, what ever, but stick to Canon as it's in this forum.

Personally, the 1DX would be my pick for a body, and the 70 - 200mm L F2.8 MK ii IS, would have to be my lens, given I mainly shoot land/sea scapes and my kids faster moving sports. The lens is, as I see it, my best compramise here.

    How about you?
They call me "Blue" it's a red head thing.

Sorry Roosta, not that interesting... I'd pick exactly the same combination!
If pressed I'd maybe sneak in a 24-70, but the 1DX/70-200II would be hard combination to beat for versatiity and perfomance.

    Cheers

    I'd pick my 5D3 with the 24-105L.
Compact, great IQ and this is the combo I use most of the time, even though i have other bodies and lots more lenses.
All my photos are taken with recycled pixels.

Cheers John, Thought I might have stired the odd one or two, as we all shoot a wide variety of fields on this site, I could see the studio togs going the same body, but the lens would be way different I'd guess, any way. Cheers.

My second choice lens Benny, for sure, actually thinking about ditching my 24-70 in favour of the versatility of the 24-105. Cheers

1D Mkiv and 50-500 sigma would cover just about everything I shoot.

canon 7 rangefinder with 50mm f/0.95 lens. One was on ebay last year in pristine condition for a steal ($2300). Alas i have too many cameras already.

    In digital wouldnt mind 1dx or 1ds3 with a 50 1.2 or 1.0 as a single setup

Canon 5DIII and the 35L. That would suit me nicely.

Going to toss it in here.

    My 600D and EF 50mm 1.8 11

Teaching me heaps about how to take photo's.

No point in getting anything else at the moment until I can take awesome photo's with what I have.

But wish list is 24-70 F4.0L Lens in the near future.

When I think it is warranted 5D MK111. But I'm still not sure on that.

I'm very happy with my 60D and EF-S 17-55 f/2.8, but if money were no object then it'd probably be a 5DMk3 with 24-70 f/2.8L...

Why waist time with the affordable stuff if money is no object......

    1Dx body and the 800mm f5.6L

Got the 5Dmk3 but would love to mate it up with a 500mm f4.0L.
Realistically still out of my league but it is nice to dream about these things
    CC always welcome and appreciated.
Tweaks welcome but please add how and why.

I'd have to look at a Fuji 617 with a 90mm schneider - If only they made a digital version of this I'd be set for life!!

fail that I could handle a Pentax 645d (just)
