I was surprised by the amount of pentax over there - as a third brand.

The problem with most people is they invest so much in lenses that it's not easy (or cheap) to swap brands. So for me I will most likely always be Canon.

I'd still push my Canon/s rather than drive a Nikon.
    But each to their own.

Nikon = Helping stop the stupid people from driving a Canon.

When I voted Nikon was just behind. Now I come back for a second look and Canon has really pulled away.

I think this proves that Canon users are just a bit slow.

1 year now with Nikon .

If case you are interested, I came from FujiFilm FinePix. Before digital cameras I used Canon 300 (rebel) after Pentax K1000.

I remember that the first SLR I ever bought was a Canon A1. Went into hibernation from photography for a 20 odd years. Then received a 350D as a gift a couple of years back and started taking up photograpy again. My wife bought me a 7D last year and looking forward to buying a 5D should my skills improve (soon I hope).

My old film camera is a Nikon FM2 (still love it) and also ran a F601 for a long time.
First digital camera was a Canon 350D before changing to a 1DMkIII. Now looking at full frame and, with a line of Canon glass for digital, I am quite happy to stay with Canon.
So I guess to poll with one word it will have to be Canon

Switched from a Canon 50D to Nikon D7000 two years ago and havn't looked back.

Two reasons for the switch - was constantly have to fix white balance on the Canon. Canon was great for still people/objects but for sport nothing special.

My first sport image from the Nikon was my best in the last 5 years, and it is now a very rare thing for me to mess with the white balance.

Anyway you use what works for you

Please don't let this thread become a 'my brand is better' thread. Vote, post about what brand you have, but leave out digs at other brands. Otherwise I will close the thread for posts and only allow voting. We are all photographers and our photos are what counts, not what label is stamped on our gear.

With my new 5D3, I now have 4 Canons.

Maybe I can now start my own army!
