I have been shooting for a short time now with a D7000 - And yes I will start to upload for some CC.
But I just picked up from a mate of mine yesterday:
Nikon d700 (less than 5000 clicks)
SB-600 Flash
MB-10 Battery Grip
and a battery for the grip
For a Total of $1500
Do you think I got a deal or got ripped?

you got a great deal for sure. a few people will be dumping bodies for the new d800/d4 so the market should be quite good.

Current lower end prices for a used D700 body seem to be around $1500-$2k on the internet. Most with much higher shutter counts than that & the cheaper ones look well used.
Given you've got a grip ,battery & flash with it, and it has has little use, sounds like a very good buy.
i'm tipping there will also be a lot of canon gear for sale. welcome to the dark side, canonites!

I have a feeling there is going to be alot of second hand D700s around for a while now... you defo got a good price for the current second hand market.... but i have a feeling the more that come on the market, the further the prices will drop.

Damn bro that is an insane deal. I woulda bought it the second I saw it. Congrats and have fun with your d700!
2nd hand shops in Tokio will be flodded with D700 with few clicks only.
