those days when you get some very good news!

one of my teachers that i have for the TV and Multimedia elective has known that photography is a hobby of mine..

she had a look at some...or rather most of my photos that i had taken and decided that she should take action.

just today i got told to see the principle, thought i was in trouble or something but instead he told me this great news!:

"you are now the official photographer for this school"

    ...i was speechless.

I don't whether that's good or bad news. Doing it as a hobby gives you the freedom to do it when you want, and when you feel like it. At least you might go on a lot more excursions.

Well done on having your efforts recognised. I will say do not let doing your role as official photographer take away from your own studies.

Enjoy the experiences the position allows you.

FYI If they don't pay you, you own the copyright, unless there is some written agreement.
Don't just give them the images without supplying them under license.
I.e. they can't use your images commercially without payment.
Have a look at the AusPhotography Forum Rules [24] onwards to give you some ideas.

This may sound like hard core advise, but always start how you want to finish, i.e. so your not
disappointed if they decide to make $$ from your work (say they do a calendar etc) and you get squat.

Congratulations! Agree with Ricktas and Kym - keep up your studies and keep copyright. Have fun with it too!
