Posted a while back about whether or not to upgrade from an 85mm f1.8 to a f1.2. Took the plunge and got a 1.2. This is one of the first shots at 1.2.

Bank Manager: Unhappy.

Thanks for the comments guys. Pretty happy with it but it is taking a bit of getting used to the manual focus ring being so loose or "focus by wire'. Certainly not ungainly to handle once its mounted on the body and I dont find it too heavy to use either as some reviews had indicated.
Looking forward to seeing what this can do with Portraits.

Not all of them were shot at f/1.2, but even from the previews, you'll be able to tell which were.
Here are three images shot wide-open:
It's s stunning lens, and one I'd unhesitatingly recommend; but the fact that it opens up to f/1.2 doesn't mean it's always appropriate to shoot it wide-open.

Love your first shot Graham, the DOF is paper thin.
At f1.2 I imagine it really throws it back on you to think seriously about your background.

What background? :-)
How does it feel to focus with it? Apparently it has an electronic focus (even in MF) as it has to move a big chunk of glass.
Is there any lag in MF?

Autofocus is very slow, and the lens uses a focus-by-wire system; ie, the camera needs to be powered on, and the lens cannot be manually focused without camera power.
Manual focus is also quite slow.
It's a stunning lens, and I wouldn't swap it for anything else.
