    Kym,

Do lens manufacturers quote the actual focal length of their lenses these days or are they the "35 mm equivalent" on their design cameras? I'm not sure I'm keeping up

Focal Length always, sometime they will say something like 375mm (35mm FL equiv)

Focal length is ALWAYS focal length, regardless of crop factor!!

    See: http://www.ausphotography.net.au/for...vs_Crop_Factor

The field of view varies according to sensor/film format.

    As it's not showing as a ' * ' lens on the roadmap, I'm tipping a 500mm f5.6.

Hope so anyway. I'm sure it will go real well on the K5, and be affordable, sort of.

Big telephoto is excellent! What a shame I wont ever be able to afford it. Oh well.

Hoping for more WR lenses, really. Its good, though, that the roadmap has been revived and added to. Gives one hope (along with that dreadful K-01) that those predicting the end of Pentax are dead wrong.

Looks like it is Going to be a 560mm F5.6! Sounds awesome, can't wait to see it. It's not going to be a star lens but I do hope it is WR.

560 5.6 looks more like a telescope than a camera lens. Looks even longer than the Sigma 500 4.5.

I'll be lining up for the 50mm. I have the FA43 but sometimes I want just a bit more focal length.

There is going to be a replacement for the 16-50 F2.8. I will see what the reviews are for that and might get it provided it is WR.
