Can anyone recommend a good birding spot around North Ryde area NSW

I will be in North Ryde for an afternoon/evening, and would like to take a few bird photos, if you know of a good spot close by please let me know.
I think I will be staying in or around Macquarie park area.
Note:- I will have no transport apart from taxi's so do not want to go too far, or do I leave my camera at home(

    Thanks for your time
    Bob

I moved your thread from the Members Photos Critique forums, as you are are not asking for critique.

Hi Bob, I can't give you any specifics but Macquarie Park is quite close to Lane Cove National Park. According to the website:
Species include wrens, kookaburras, powerful owls, rails, ducks, cockatoos, lorikeets, egrets, spoonbills, wattlebirds, cuckoo-shrikes and cormorants. The dusky moorhen is a common resident of the park which breeds in rushes.
When are you traveling? Sydney has had heavy rain over the last few days and showers are forecast to continue through late next week, so the going might be a bit greasy underfoot.

There are probably others here who have shot in LCNP that can give more specific details...

    Cheers.
    Phil.

Some Nikon stuff. I shoot Mirrorless and Mirrorlessless.

Hi Bob Lane Cove National Park is very close and only a short ride away from where you will be staying. There are a few good spots to shot from.
Photographs are there to remind us of what we forget.

Thanks Phil, I will be there next week, but only have one afternoon free (Tuesday 14th).

    Thanks again

Not sure if my post is too late!!

Bicentennial Park in Homebush is pretty close to where you're staying:
