    Gold Coast receding flood waters

This is located in Maudsland, just at the foot of the hinterland and is usually a tiny trickling stream. The water was all the way up onto the paddocks when it flooded. I saw it had flatterened grass 1 meter high. We have roads still closed here. The gushing water pictured is heading out via the Coomera River.

Thanks for posting this Kerrie. I think most of us in Australia have short memories and tend to think life is back to normal for those in the flood areas but this photo reminds us that the worst may be over but the after effects take a long time to 'normalize'.

All CC very welcome. I'm keen to learn.

It must be of concern to those who suffered in the devastating floods last year to have all this rain around them again. We learnt that little streams can become big streams very quickly. Hope all are safe.
A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.
