Hi i went down to my local photo shop and asked if they had a Hoya nd 400 filter which they did not have in stock but offered me a Kenko variable ndx filter , sounds like a good idea,any one know any thing about them.

Sorry, it wasn't much a review but what my friend told me. I maybe popping over to catch up with him and check it out next week when i'm in Singapore.

Sample pictures here. There is some colour casting but nothing a little RAW goodness can't manage.
Effectively it's about 8-9 stop before you get the deadly X like all variable ND. Most available now like the Light Craft ones are usable till 6stops only. So another point to consider with Variable NDs. What they advertise as max will not be the true value.
