    Photography book recommendations

    Hi Everyone,

I tried to use the search function to find any photography book recommendations but everything except that came up!

So would any of you know of any decent photography books that you could recommend?

    Thanks

Define "decent photography books ". I'm sure everyone has a different interest or niche they want to read or learn about. I wouldn't presume to know what yours might be.

Yes, the most useful one you already have, it's called the user manual. Armed with that and info from this site you have all you will need. I have friends with bookshelves full of books on their hobbies and most of them just gather dust as they are too busy with their hobby to look at them. I have been into photography on and off most of my life and the only two books I have are the Magic Lantern Guides for the 400D and 7D. These are just a more comprehensive user manual.

I cannot recommend highly enough "UNDERSTANDING EXPOSURE" Revised Edition by Bryan Peterson. ISBN: 0-8174-6300-3

This book is very well written, is easy to read and has a wealth of excellent photo exposure tips and information in it.

I have read it, cover to cover, many times and always seem to get something new out of it.
To me it is the bible of photography.
