    Uplaoading Images

    Having a problem uploading images (which probably means i am doing it incorrectly), but my images are usually raw or converted from raw to a huge MB.
    Any tips?

    Images uploaded to AP server must be no more than 250KB in size, and no longer than 1200px on the longest side, so they need to be resized if they are just .jpg straight from a RAW file.

    2 things come to mind:
    1. If you are just saving the original RAW as a JPEG it will still be the original physical dimensions and that leads to a large file size. Resize your image to something like 6x4. That will give you a smaller file size.
    2. When saving as JPEG there is a quality slider. Decrease the quality slider until the file size shows an acceptable figure. ie under 250kb for competition entries on here.
    Let us know how you get on.

    Photos uploaded to AP must be:

    * 1024 pixels or smaller on the longest side
    * Under 250kb (250,000 bytes)
    * in JPG format
