The old Mechanics Institute on Melbourne Rd Newport, between Westgate Br around 1km before Blackshaws Rd.
This has been unused (well, un-renovated) forever, complete with every window smashed. It's fenced off as usual, however contact Hobson's Bay City Council (Altona) to investigate access permissions.

    Let us know!

Here I was thinking this was the best kept secret in Melbourne - PM me if you want more details on using this building.

if you're from the sout eastern area than the seaford hay shed would be a great spot.
no idea why it's called "the hay shed" (unofficial name) but it's an abandoned train line building, not sure what it used to once be

It's completely covered in graffiti, with an assortment of talented colourful "pieces" to tons of grungy "tags" all windows smashed, barb wire hanging of lose places etc.

It is possible to get inside, but involves climbing and what, so with gear and a model it would be very difficult practically impossible. The majority of the graffiti is however on the outside, so it'd still be pretty decent to shot.

here are the co-ordinates I pulled up from google maps for it

here are some other peoples photos I pulled up.

I do not own rights to these photos nor did I take them, they are taken from a google image search so hopefully I am not breaching any copy right issues, if I am, then please do delete this post.

but do search it your self "Seaford HayShed"

    Hi all

I am looking for abandoned Buildings in and around Melbourne. I am happy to drive out a while, but I would like something that is old and graffiti covered. Prefer easy access as myself and 1 or 2 models will need to get in.
