Help with Hugin latest version

Help, folks.

Yesterday I installed Hugin Pano Stitcher V2011.2.0, the latest version, from Sourceforge.

It worked OK once, and since then it carries on OK right up to the point where it wants to save the actual pano tiff file (after it has saved the .pto file), and then it crashes with the message...

"PTBatcherGUI.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and do I want to tell Microsoft about it.

Styoupidly, I even deleted the old 2009 installation file, and I cannot now revert to an earlier version.

I must say, the later version is good in that it uses the original file size for the pano. Pity I only got one go out of it.

Any ideas? Helper? Hints? Commiserations?

Guys, I tried almost everything. The latest version worked properly a whole 2wice. Each time afterwards it gave a memory error (from memory, since it's been a while). But the 2009 version is good. I found an installer for it and have been using it ever since. The only thing I liked about the later version was that it did original size panos. Specifically, Nix, you don't have to be in admin mode, and anyway, my userid is admin. When I've got some time I'll chase up the problem, as meanwhile I have some panos to stitch. (Sew what? you might ask.)
