    Sigma 170-500 Lens

I have a 450D and have an opportunity of picking up a Sigma APO 170-500 mm 1:5-6.3 Zoom lens for $300, Does anyone have any advice on the lens and if it is worth it. Most of my photography is Wildlife and Birds.
    Regards

Woah! that's a long lens for a 450D! 272-800! I'm not sure on the lens itself, but since you do wildlife and birds, Give it a shot I guess, 300 bucks is pretty cheap!

Yeah at that price I thought I may as well as the only other lens I have is a EF-S 75-250.

At $300 you cannot complain. The current 150-500 is around $1000 so for the intended purpose and with a bugdet in mind, go for it.

Olympus Pen F with Metabones Speed Booster and Laowa 12mm f/2.8 or Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 or Nikon D800 with the Laowa 12mm f/2.8. The need to keep in touch with the past is a Nikon Photomic FTn or Nikon F2A and a Nikkor 25-50mm f/4 AI
