Storm approaching SEQ Sat 08 Oct 2011

I just noticed a very active thunderstorm approaching from the west - looks to hit the SEQ corner and down a bit into NSW.

See Radar, Energex lightning tracker, and keep an eye on the Qld Warnings page - currently for Downs area but it may move across.

Of course, it may peter out but better to be ready just in case. I am charging the camera batteries and laptop and may go a storm chasing!

Got a fair bit of rain from it though Rob. My swimming pool water height has raised a couple of inches in an hour.

We didn't get much good for photo stuff, but the house shook a few times, I had everything turned off. This is a screen dump of the Energex lightning tracker when I turned back on.
