unable to reply to posts - compatability view

    IE8.

Been trying to respond to a couple of posts but the text box is not accessible. Removed the site from my compatability list in IE (Page...Compatability view settings..removed Ausphotog..) and now can post. Might be affecting others so I thought I would mention it.

    Cheers

IE7+ does not need any Compatability view settings as the software is compatible with IE

I just experienced this also. I could not see the reply box in either IE or FF, either in quick reply or advanced mode.

I then restarted my PC and all is good. The only thing I can think of, that has recently happened on my pc is that Windows 7 installed 11 updates yesterday. This morning was the first time I turned my PC on since those updates. Not sure if it is related to these Win 7 updates, but a re-start of my PC this morning, solved the issue for me.

Yeah, Are you using Win 7 and did you do/have any updates prior to the problem occurring? I am just trying to work out a cause, and I could be completely off track

    Hi:

I have Windows Vista. With internet explorer 7 I was not able to post.
I intall fixes, cleaned up history data, cookies, etc. But the problem remained.
Now ie 8 is installed and now I am able to post again.
    Thanks Rick!

I've just changed a system setting... Cookies and HTTP Header Options

Force Latest IE Mode: Force IE browsers to render in their latest version. Yes (it was No)

Please let us know if that helps

Last night I changed browsers to Chrome and now I can post replies again. I have been using IE7 for years with no problems until now. I really didn't want to change, but now that I have made the move I realise just how slow IE7 was ! Chrome is just so quick. Now I just have to get used to how it looks and works.
The only thing that hasn't changed is that I still cannot get into the "site sponsors" no matter how I try.

Is that at work? Maybe some weird ad-blocking going on?

No I'm at home on the same computer I've had for a few years now. Like I said it doesn't really worry me though.
