Subscribing to a thread - notificatons.

    On this forum:

Q1: Is there a method of subscribing to a thread, without first making a reply to that thread?
Q2: is there a method of setting as the default a “subscription”, to the thread, to which one replies?

If "yes" could you please outline "how to" or direct me to the FAQ which describes it.

    Thank you,

    WW

Q1: Click on 'Thread Tools' at the top right of the thread. Choose 'subscribe'

Not sure what you mean by Q2 sorry.

    Crikey that was quick.

    Thanks, I got it.

Re Q2 - doesn't matter - I found the answer. what I meant was can I set MY profile so that everytime I answer a thread, the defualt is that I subscribe: I just read a few posts down and found the answer.

But if you are still there... I have another question.

Say I posted an answer several months ago and now I DO NOT to get any more subscriptions - I guess I go to the top of the thread and deselct "subscribe" under the "Thread Tools"?

Try Settings (top Right of page) then general settings (on the left hand side menu)

Don't forget to save your settings

    Thanks Kym.
Appreciate the effort to make the screen capture and then post it.

There may be a quicker way than this:

To unsubscribe you can go to

'AP extras' in the top left' and choose 'subscribed threads'

Then put a tick in the box next the the ones you don't want to get anymore.... click on the button at the bottom of the page (I think it says 'selected threads') and choose 'delete subscription'
