Brand names caught in a photo ?

I'm not sure if I'm in the right spot ... Anyway I have a few photos I would like to post but they have partial or nearly whole brand names in them ..... Is it OK to post or not ?

depends. If the brand names are incidental to the shot, or are they the primary focus of the shot.

For example. A street scene with a coca-cola billboard in it, where the actual subject is the people in the street, is OK, but if the only thing (main subject) is the billboard, then that is commercial promotion.

It also depends on usage. I.e. a photo of a Macca's in the context of social comment of fast food is ok.
Most of the © act in this area talks about commercial use as being actively selling or implying endorsement etc.
