It looks like it. Both appear to be bigger than the D3s and D700. Sounds very exciting. Can't wait to see the specs and performance particularly the images taken by Mcnally.
    Best regards,

A Japanese friend of mine has been working with Nikon for the past 2 years. He is/was working on sensor development. He couldn't, wouldn't and didn't tell me ANYTHING about the sensor development or what's new but he did tell me it is going to be a big jump forward from the D3 series. I know its not much to go on.

I dunno. As much as I'd like to think it is, I think its likely to be D3x, D3s, D3, D700, D300s, D300 in that order from left to right.

Those pictures are about as vague as the Rumors are.
Surprised, with all the equipment they must have, that they could not get a sharp picture?
I expect a new DSLR announcement this month, probably the 24mp D400?

Good move, Red things go faster so 8000th sec shutter speed and 9 fps should be possible

Bummer, no wonder the new DSLR bodies are so slow in being announce.
They had to throw away the whole batch and change the assembly-line to Red

actually they have been slow in announcing them due to the impact of the Tsunami and Nuclear Zone, which contained production plants that are still not accessible. Companies have had to relocate or setup entirely new production facilities.

    Rick,
This is what I suspected, but I have found no confirmed reports to verify it.
According to Nikon press releases all their plants were back in production by April.

I wonder where their design and prototype production is located for the D300, D700, and D3 replacements?
