A new 70-200 mark II is on the way

Just ordered a 70-200 II from DWI. Now it is at Alexandria, AU.

However, from the FedEx web site, I saw the weight of the parcel is only 0.5kg. I've contacted DWI, their suggestion is for me to wait and see what I will receive. It could be just a mistake in FedEx website or is it possible only an empty box or some other thing.

Does anyone have this kind of experience?

Now the parcel is still in the state of "international shipment releease". It's been in this state for about 8 hours, not sure if it will come to me safely tomorrow

Britinozz, it seems you've got a number of new lens recently. Where do you order your lens?

I got it today. It is the right lens. I am sure the parcel should be about 2kg. It seems Fedex doesn't really mind the true weight of the parcels it is delivering.

I've tried a few shots. It is just slightly better than my old EFS 18-200. I am going to do more test this afternoon. I've heard about bad copies of this lens. I hope that I am not so unlucky

A possible Sat early morning landscape, or Sat arvo V8 supercar! But depends on weather my friend.

With the lens and sharpness Larry, check a few things:

    1) There are 2 IS mode, if you are hand held and not panning, use IS setting #1
    2) I believe this is your f/2.8 lens? The shallower DoF could take a little time to get used to. Dial it down to say f/5.6 or even f/8 and check it out. (Might need higher ISO)

I still love mine! Before the 50mm f1.2L the 70-200 was pretty much glue onto the camera permanently.
