    Beauty and the Beast (85L and TSE17)

    Beauty and the Beast... and a large dollop of frustration...

    Well, it's my birthday coming up in a couple of weeks and I have bought myself my wife has bought me a couple of new lenses... very excited about them both, but I can't recall seeing a greater beauty/beast comparison! The 85mm f/1.2L is just a gorgeous chunk of glass whilst the TSE 17mm is a veritable Frankenstein...

    The frustration comes from my wife's rather too literal interpretation of "birthday present". Two weeks to go and she's allowed me only a quick play to check they're working before packing them away Feel like a little boy who's getting a new bike for his birthday, has been allowed a 30 sec ride around the yard, but has now had the bike taken off him for a fortnight...
