Site Default Editor - new Enhanced (WYSIWYG) ?

Should we have the new WYSIWYG (Enhanced) editor as the site default?

NB: You can always set the editor of your choice in your control panel via the Settings menu (top right of page),
then General Settings (scroll down on the left),
then set the editor mode as you wish (see picture below).

Don't forget to click Save Changes at the bottom of the page

You can also switch between editor modes on the fly by clicking the top left icon on the editor toolbar.

Plain text and room to see what you are doing. Everything else is just clutter.

Plain text would certainly prevent people from entering text in unusual and problematic colours.

Plain text. Simple and doesn't take up too much room.

You can change it back, to some extent, via your settings menu (general settings).

Can't be done. vBulletin have provided a new editor and we can only choose the options given in my first post.

It has features like autosave (handy if your typing a long post),
and it detects if you navigate away without posting (i.e. you forget to click the post button).

It does? I just tried it and nothing happened. Perhaps you have to be using the fancy posting window. Not that it matters. I frequently type part of a reply, then decide not to post it and go elsewhere, not being allowed to do that would be quite anoying, actually. So as-is is good.

It only warns, you don't have to say yes.

I mustn't be doing it right. Didn't do anything when I tried it just now.

Is it now normal for all posted images to show up to the reader as full images, rather than as addresses? (or thumbnails?)

I am in Enhanced WYSIWYG mode.

Personally, who cares. As long as we can still communicate with each other, post our images and give great CC.
I suppose it can give expression to the writen word.

Enhanced editor is way better than the plain text box simply because more options gives you greater flexibility when posting.

The new editor is useful when writing longer posts and library articles that have significant formatting.

We're talking about the interface (ie: the place where you typed your message) you used to make your post.
