    Trying to shoot toy models

I am trying to shoot Mordheim models on my dining table but I can't get them all in focus, they will be in two groups of four, for example and four inches apart and I want to get them all in focus, but I am only getting particular ones in focus, that are in the focus point. ISO 400, f9. thanks

How do I determine my focal length? I am not sure what that means and Wikipedia only confused me more.
