    Hello YELLOW? What??

    Hi Folks.
Here's what happened about 15 minutes ago.

(Stranger than a UFO) this morning my screen went YELLOW after several minutes of activity. I could see nothing else and had no control, in that I couldn't shut down via a key press, nor even by holding the ON button in for more than 5 seconds. I had to switch off at the back.

On starting it up again I got a checksum error and so I just loaded the BIOS default values and it started OK. A subsequent virus and malware (quick) scan showed only a tracking cookie.

This Yellow was not mellow, and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea about it or has had a similar experience? Oh, and I was only typing some text into MSN Messenger at the time. I've now been going for longer than before. Who knows...???

    Ta. Am.

Col. It looked like I had fallen head first onto it and was staring at a brick
It was deep yellow, bordering on orange...

Folks. I'm unaware of "bug" as a class of malware. In both cases they were listed as a virus. I really don't know how it got there, and later this afternoon the auto scanner found yet another virus.
Well, at least that's working. Am.

I use F-sure, provided by OP...US. They say it's not as good as Kaspersky, but I only just heard how good that's supposed to be a few days ago.
Apart from today's yellow screen (tie around an old oak forest) I haven't ever had any problems with malware in the 2 years I've been using this. And who knows if the YS was due to some malware??
