    E) population

    Endless list...

As a society, we have stopped listening to those who are experts or have demonstrated experience.

Instead, we immerse ourselves in a sea of half-baked emotional responses.

Emotional responses are fine - so long as they are supported by reason.

Just follow any twitter stream on an issue of national importance. It very quickly becomes a name-calling session based on 0 facts and 100% emotion.

Or, if you really want to torture yourself - watch Question Time from Canberra one day.

    true that.
I am sure that some sort of middle ground could be reached tho (with regard to art that is) which would be ideal.

Good topic. The media and general life is very over saturated with photographs today, I heard a figure about roughly how many images we see in a day, I can't remember that figure but it was quite large.

As far as feed back goes, it depends on the environment in which you are recieving it. I do think AP is little more technically biased towards it's C & C, where as at uni, whilst there is some technical C & C it is more about the communicative strength of the images. But ultimately it depends on the photography, the person giving the C & C, and even as Rick said about how the photographer has gone about presenting the image.

I don't think photographs has lost their value though, many people still cherish photos of friends, family and other important occassions.

Photography is the art of telling stories with light.
