    Canon EF 135mm f/2.0 L

I've been taking photos of cats and using either my 70-200mm f2.8 or my 17-40 but for some of the shows I go to find it a bit heavy. A friend suggested that I get a Canon 135 f2 but I'm not real sure. Any suggestions?
Hope I've put this in the right thread.

you should track down a company which rents the lens out & get it for a few days. then you can be sure it is what you are after.

The 135 is a beautiful lens, but still has a bit of heft to it. That said, 0.75kg is about half of the weight of the 70-200 you are using at the moment anyway.
As a prime, you may scare off the little buggers when you zoom with your feet too...

If you find yourself shooting cats a lot, perhaps it might be easier to drop the cannon and pick up a rifle instead?
