A photo journalist that earned his pay today.

I guess with the current disruption caused to that airline's services it wouldn't have been too hard to get an image or two of disgruntled (potential) passengers but I thought that this one was one that earned the "a picture is worth a thousand words" award.

    great picture - go Daniel!

this bit has me very disturbed

Celia Blackwood was on a Tiger flight from Melbourne to Cairns last night when the plane was forced to turn back because of the groundings.

She says the captain announced over the speaker that the "safety was paramount and the flight would be returning to Melbourne".

When the context is understood it is a very telling picture. But then a plane accidentally plowing into the dirt - note Mt. Erebus - would make a much more shocking picture.

I find it amazing that in this day and age, that any airline could be guilty of the accusations made by CASA against Tiger.

I'm glad I never fly with them.

I've been on some dodgy planes in my history (not in Oz), and it's something I don't want to have to do again.
All my photos are taken with recycled pixels.
