    what happended here?

    went out and didc a reshoot of my ppost yesterday, sorry ving no snow.
    set the camera up in portrait mode, locked the ae-i as i did yesterday. and this is the result. 7 shot pano
    advise sought

    Mudman. Get to the 1st thread, either just open it or open it up in another tab in your browser. When you see the URL for the link in the address bar, just highlight and copy it. Then come back to this thread, make a new post in it, add some text, and past the link there.
    People can then click on the link to see the first version of the pano, instead of searching for it...
    (I have done it here anyway. Hope you like the text)

    you are right there but also it is only on the grass which is why i drew that conclusion... i am assuming of course that the pano is stitched in a single row horizontally

    yes. was stitched in photomerge cs5. also all frames were taken only a couple of seconds apart. so it would have had to be a very high wind to blow a cloud over that quicklly. could it have been caused by the cpl?

    That's possible. You should not use CPL's in panos as the polarisation at different angles to the sun is stronger or weaker and will be very apparent in an image.

    Try shooting 45, 90 and 180 degrees, to the sun and look at the results with a cpl on.
