For Us Not-So Computer Savvy Oldies

Sometimes we have trouble with our computers.

I had a problem yesterday, so I called Eric, the 13 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.

Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?'

He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired,

'An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'
Eric grinned.... 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'
    'No,' I replied.

'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll work it out.'
    So I wrote down:

I used to like Eric, the little bastard.

We have ID ten T errors at work all the time

Add that to the people who don't understand that their phone is 7 years old, has a large amount of physical damage to it and they think that WARRANTY is still going to cover them getting a new phone for free. Or that we're just going to give them a new phone because they've had their plan for however many number of years. Doesn't work like that!

    Helpful & Honest Critique/Advice appreciated

Oh, they just don't get it: planned obsolescence is here to stay. What's this 7-year business and misguided ideas of loyalty. Keep turning the treadmill - it's progress.
    Hm!
