Sun 12, June... Sunrise Meet. Darling Point, McKell Park Whark

    All,

Peter and myself will be rising early to catch the sunrise at the Ferry Wharf at McKell Park, Darling Pt.

We are planning to begin our disturbance of the rich and famous at about 05:30, which is just after first light (Astronomical Twilight).

Nautical Twilight is due at 5:57
Civil Twilight will occur at 6:29
While Sol himself will pop up at 6:56.

All are welcome along (even if you are later than 5:30).

Let us know if you intend to come along so we know to look for you.

See it on the Sydney meets calendar

    Scotty

The alarm is set. I will be wrecked by the end of the day as I expect to be doing sunrise on Saturday, sunrise and sunset on Sunday plus into the night. I will have to sleep all Monday.
    Cheers

Geez, if you posted this before Wed, I would have come along (I live in Rose Bay so 5 min drive) but instead I flew back from work (Perth) and then back to Mount Isa for my break. It's a nice spot but not sure you will see the sun break the horizon from there.

On TPE it looks fine for a sunrise over water from the park with the jetty in the frame. Now only the weather has to co-operate.

I spent the afternoon running around in the rain in shorts and a T-Shirt and don't know if i'll cope very well with getting drenched again pre-dawn, so will have to give this one a miss.

    Well, what a whimp

I will wake in the morning. If it is torrential, I may go back to sleep, otherwise I will be there as I don't get enough free mornings to waste.

Intending to arrive at 5:45 ish (if it is heavy cloud, it will be darker)
