    Great effort for such a long shutter speed. Apparently it is "impossible" for the hand to stay precisely still for more the 1/30th sec (or so I have read).

    Not sure about Canons, but with my Nikon, a word of advice I received before I got my remote was to put the self timer on (2 sec was enough) but to also set the camera on live view so that there was less vibration when the shutter initially opened :-).

    Also something you may not be aware of - when using a tripod, make sure you remember to turn your Vibration Reduction/Stabilisation off - the camera should be still enough if its on the tripod :-).

    A sock full of sand will do just as good , And cheaper

    Your right but I liked the idea that you can screw it to your camera and I think $15 is pretty good

    Wow you did well for a hand held shot....I would think a tripod would be a must for doing long exposures.
