    All from the one photo

    Hi, I just experimented with the quality of the Canon 5D MkII. These are all the same photo...just zoomed in further and further.

    This is @ 800%. I put this one in because I was impressed just how clear this is at such a high magnification.

    By the way, these photos are of the jet boat on Sydney Harbour.

    Sorry Mary, should have posted that. I think I was using the 17mm - 40mm F1:4.0L that day. The focal length was 40mm so I suspect that the lens was right out.

    The whole exercise was just an experiment in curiosity...I was just surprised to see the results. I have tried this with other camera photos and the zoom has pixellated out quite badly. 21.5Mp is a lot to play with, I guess. Anyway, just thought it might interest some. Regards Don

    Thanks for that Don, yes its good to know.. I don't have the 17-40mm lens.
