Bucca is a fantastic spot, pretty close to Coffs but super quiet. In my opinion Armidale is about as interesting as Tamworth (not very unless country music is your thing), but Dorrigo has some great bushland. I wont sugar coat it, coming from the Vic road network you are going to HATE driving on Waterfall Way to get there, but it's worth it, just keep that in mind lol.
