fish eye on 50d

I just read on another thread about putting an old pentax lens on a half frame with an adapter
(Bromeo's answer - Get an old pentax mf lens and an adapter ), has anyone done this with a fish eye ? my daughters are keen to get one as they think its cool .

MF = "manual focus" in this context, I imagine.
