some test images with the Nikon 1.7 tele converter and the Nikon 70-200VRII

I went out this morning and took a few images with my new Nikon 1.7 Tele converter .

Im still in the learning mode with its as far as what I can achieve....the wildlife where few and far between this morning too ..

so far im well happy with the combo..Af is still pretty fast..and Id say as fast as my old Sigma 70-200 HSM II without a TC !!...its not to unwieldy to use at the long end {340MM}..but im glad I have VR on the lens....makes some shots possible that would otherwise be out of the question

yep im pretty happy with the 1.7TC..but ive not used the 1.4..so I cant comment.....I went for the 1.7II over the new 2xIII...as it cost $250au less!!..plus is a tad quicker in Af and shutter speed {more light}...and from the example images Ive seen all over the net..its sharper than the 2XIII

also the FOV between a 340mm and a 400mm lens is not that great for the compromise I feel
