    Light Painting

Anyone interested in light painting? I am looking for other people interested in doing some light painting, particularlly in Melbourne. I also visit Canberra from time to time as well.

Hope you find some people as that is a lot of fun. Just don't use the led torches, found they don't work as well

Hi welcome to the forum. Maybe post an intro in the intro forum, and then have a look around. A question like this is probably best in the Victoria Meets forum.

Nup, cause the meets forum is for arranging meets. General questions like this belong in F-Stop, which is where I have moved the thread to, from the NTP.

I think you will need to find the right kind of led torch though I use a small pocket led which I got a year back and that is fine the new led torches cast a blue color cast which makes it look awful. Not sure what the difference is though.

Couldn't you just fix the Colour cast with a custom white balance?

The issue is that sometimes the light painting is not even and it's just on the main subject a custom white balance will not help...

You can get led torches with tints other than cool (which tends to produce the blueish cast), such as neutral or warm.
I use neutral, which gives a nicer result.
